How does the Zestimate on Zillow work? My agent has suggested that I list my property lower than the Zestimate which doesn’t make sense to me.
I am glad you asked this question. Many sellers believe the Zestimate is the end all be all when it comes to pricing a home. However, there are a lot of inaccuracies, which make the Zestimate a good place to start, but not an accurate figure for what your home is actually worth.
Per Zillow, “The Zestimate® home value is Zillow’s estimated market value for an individual home and is calculated for about 100 million homes nationwide. It is a starting point in determining a home’s value and is not an official appraisal.” Read more…
