Crews Investigate Gas Leak Near Rockville Pike

by | Aug 28, 2017

A gas leak on Nebel Street on Monday has led crews to close several streets and monitor nearby buildings.

Crews responded to the 11800 block of Nebel Street near Marinelli Road for a gas leak at about noon, according to Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service spokesman Pete Piringer.

Piringer posted on Twitter that the leak was the result of a broken 6-inch, high-pressure gas line.

Firefighters and hazmat crews closed several streets in the area but had not found any evidence of gas in nearby buildings.
