H&M Prepares To Open 24,000-Square-Foot Store in Pike & Rose

More retailers are about to open in Pike & Rose.

Clothing store H&M is set to open in two weeks, on Sept. 14 at noon, according to the company.

The 24,000-square-foot store sits on Grand Park Avenue next to iPic Theaters in the North Bethesda development. H&M’s 15th store in Maryland will offer men’s and women’s clothing and accessories and will be staffed by 40 employees, according to the company.

As a promotion for its opening, the Pike & Rose store will give out scratch-off prize cards to the first 500 shoppers. Customers also can bring clothes into the store to recycle, and anyone who does on the first day can enter to win a gift card.

Two days later, cooking and dining supplies store Sur La Table will hold its grand opening celebration, featuring cooking demos, tastings and giveaways.

Sur La Table opened down the block from H&M on Wednesday, according to Pike & Rose.

The rapidly growing 24-acre development has several more openings planned for this year, including L.L. Bean and a full-service Porsche dealership. The Henri, a 272-unit apartment complex, started moving in this month.
