L.L. Bean To Open in November in Pike & Rose

by | Oct 17, 2017

Outdoor retailer L.L. Bean will open its 22,700-square-foot store in Pike & Rose on Nov. 10, the company announced Monday.

At 925 Rose Ave., the store will be next to a park and garden space in the North Bethesda development.

The retail chain, which has nearly 40 stores across the country, sells outdoor apparel, camping equipment, travel products and other recreational accessories.

The Pike & Rose store will be the only L.L. Bean in Maryland. A Columbia location closed in 2013. There is a store in Tysons Corner, Virginia.

L.L. Bean will be one block away from REI, another outdoor recreation retailer, which opened in Pike & Rose in April.

To kick off its opening, L.L. Bean is offering three days of events and giveaways. From Nov. 10 to 12, the store will provide free archery lessons, wildlife programs for kids and a chance to win free gift cards. The L.L. Bean Bootmobile, a truck shaped like the company’s signature shoe, will be there.

The L.L. Bean opening should come close to rounding out the openings in Pike & Rose for this year. A Porsche dealership might open in late December, but other retailers and restaurants won’t open until next year.
