North Bethesda Trampoline Park To Hold Grand Opening Saturday

A large new trampoline park is having a grand opening in the Randolph Hills area near the Rockville line.

The 15,000-square-foot Launch Trampoline Park on Boiling Brook Parkway held a soft opening last weekend, but will hold an event Saturday to formally kick off the start of the business.

The park features a variety of trampolines on which jumpers can compete in dodgeball matches, slam dunk basketballs or simply hop around.

The grand opening event Saturday will feature former NFL cornerback Ty Law, a standout former New England Patriots player, who founded Launch and franchises the business’s local branches. It begins at 10 a.m.

The North Bethesda franchise is owned by partners Stephanie Eldridge, Bill Garrett and former Patriots wide receiver Deion Branch—the MVP of Super Bowl XXXIX in 2005. They also own a Launch location in Columbia.

Eldridge said Thursday that the trampoline park is geared toward families and also hosts teen nights on Friday and Saturday nights.

“It’s an awesome location,” Eldridge said. “We love this community.”

The North Bethesda location features a main court with ramps, jump boxes and angled trampoline side walls. It has the company’s first “ninja adrenalator”, which Eldridge described as a cross between an “American Ninja Warrior” and “Wipeout” course. It’s basically a glorified obstacle course featuring rotating beams, a 20-foot slide and padded moving bars that can knock people down as they try to complete it.

The park is similar to other trampoline centers in the area, such as Rockin’ Jump in Gaithersburg and ZavaZone in Rockville.

Launch also has an arcade, a foam pit, private party rooms and a café, where parents can relax as their children play. The Montgomery County location employs about 50 people, according to Eldridge.

The park charges $18 for an hour of jump time. Jumpers will have to buy a special pair of grip socks for $2.50 as part of a safety precaution. Launch hosts birthday parties and special events, starting at $299 for a group of 10.

After the grand opening, Launch will be open on Thursday evenings, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. It’s closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Launch has other locations along the East Coast and is expanding to the Midwest and West Coast, Eldridge said. The North Bethesda location is at 4942 Boiling Brook Parkway.
