Strosniders Aiming for November Opening in Kensington

by | Sep 14, 2017

Strosniders has pushed back its planned opening in Kensington as it works to renovate the former Hardware City location on Connecticut Avenue.

The local hardware store chain’s owner, Stan Smith, said last week that the company is aiming for a November or possibly late October opening for the new store, which will be Stronsinders’ fourth in Montgomery County.

Previously, the store was planning for a September opening after leasing the location in the spring, but Smith said it took longer than expected for Hardware City to vacate the property and begin renovations.

Strosniders is redoing the interior and Smith said the store is now empty. Strosniders also has locations in Silver Spring, Bethesda and Potomac.
