The C&O Canal in Georgetown, built in the mid-1800s, had gone through a multi-year restoration and on April 29th opened again for boat tours. Visitors begin at Lock 3 and can enjoy an hour long, one-mile guided tour.
Tickets range from $10 to $20 and up to 65 passengers can fit on the newly constructed 80 foot vessel. The tours operate from 10am to 4pm Wednesday through Sunday and are also available for private rentals.
