The pandemic brought about changes in all aspects of our lives and one of those is how we utilize the space in our homes. Students and adults began working from home and although open floor plans are what many seek out, it was no conducive for everyone needing a quiet space to do their work. Families began dedicating specific spaces and areas for specific reasons and functions. And that bonus living room might have been converted to a home office for those that started working from home.
Spaces that were underutilized previously are now being converted to home gyms, craft rooms, or offices. Outdoor areas began to get makeovers as well. With everyone in the house during the pandemic, patios got an upgrade as an extension of their home and a way for people to meet up outdoors.
