Desmond Dunham, a DC-area coach has published, “Running Against the Odds” which shares the story of his difficult childhood and how he found a love for running to help turn his life for the good. Through his two decades of coaching and sharing some of his inspirational stories with his athletes and seeing how they helped those kids, he chose to put his life into a story to help others who might be in the same shoes he was once in.
Dunham is an Official Under Armor Coach Embassador who overcame dyslexia and a speech impediment and has since become a nationally recognized high school coach and inspiration to high school and college athletes throughout the country.
