DC’s Hottest New Suburb is Baltimore

by | Dec 1, 2021

Although Baltimore is not part of the Washington region, it’s a close suburb to DC and offers the housing that many can’t afford in DC’s market while being close enough for those that have office jobs to commute.  Real Estate agents in Baltimore have noticed more people moving from the Washington area in 2020 than in the two decades prior.

The average home in DC is $600,000 where in Baltimore it’s $210,000.  And while many Washingtonians are making the move, for those that have to go into the office daily, the commute could take closer to 90 minutes.  That is one thing to think about if you have don’t have the option to work partially from home but you can’t be the price when it comes to housing.
