With Hurricane Ida fast approaching DMV shelters got calls from shelters in Louisiana stressing the urgency and need for help to get their adoptable animals to safety. Lucky Dog Animal Rescue in Arlington and Homeward Trails in Fairfax Station had their first transport of animals arrive on Sunday, August 29th and will be receiving more over the next week.
