Montgomery County Lifts Mask Mandate

by | Oct 29, 2021

With seven straight days of “moderate” transmission of COVID, Montgomery county has lifted its mask mandate as of October 28th.  “Moderate” transmission refers to less than 50 new cases per 100,000 people.  With a vaccination rate of 90.6%, Montgomery county has one of the country’s best vaccination rates.

Starting October 28, 2021 public facilities in Montgomery county no longer have to mandate masks.  However, businesses can still require patrons to wear them.  James Bridgers, the county health officer, does recommend wearing masks when around others.
