A mother and son design team have formed Marques Kalil, an architecture, design, and planning firm and have designed and built houses in the United States and Brazil. They recently purchased a home in the neighborhood Marques grew up in and designed the renovation to fit today’s lifestyle.
The team used fiber cement siding in addition to vertical slats on the exterior and included a few outdoor living including a courtyard, a backyard terrace and two second floor balconies. An open layout and high ceilings with natural light make for an airy feel.
