Many changes in our everyday lives took place in 2020 which caused the housing market to be altered in many ways. In 2021 though, we can see a potential for things to go back to how they were, sort of. So many people moved away from cities when COVID-19 hit that it’s left a lot of empty real estate. That being said, it’s possible that cities will start to see an increase in residents with lower home prices.
Smaller cities in the south also have the potential to see a housing boom post-pandemic. With the opportunity many jobs now have to work from home, home buyers don’t necessarily need to go where the work is, making these areas targets for those looking to buy.
